Petitions

Petitions are an effective grassroots tool for citizens to have their voices heard by politicians. Community organizers and advocacy groups have used voter petitions to effect meaningful change from small scale local civic projects like building parks to commuting the death sentences inmates who may have been wrongfully convicted.

The Delphi Voice Project is currently working on a task to petition the Indiana State Police, the Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby, and Prosecuting Attorney Nicholas McLeland to hold a press conference and answer specific questions about the investigation into James Brian Chadwell before his sentencing hearing on December 16 in Tippecanoe County. We will beginning circulating the petition on December 2 here, through our Facebook page, and other social media.
